Digging deep in the mines he found an odd room with a pedestal in the middle illuminated by a strange light. On top a golden shimmering figurine of a cow. Inspecting it closer he thought it must be worth some, though not knowing that the idol exchanges its shape with his. And before he knew it it was done. Maybe setting the idol carefully back on the pedestal would help... oh... well gluing that back together with hoofs will take some time.

Seems like the new vaccines harvested from bovine blood had an unexpected effect, instead of preventing the flu they mutated it into something "different", more radical yet more benign. Though this might be a bit inconvenient at first think of the benefits, instead of fever, stuffed nose, uncontrolled coughing and sickness for 2 weeks you are turned into a cow for 2 weeks with the only side effects being urge to graze and sudden mooing.
