Sometimes you wish those summer beach days can last forever, don't you? ... perhaps they can, all you have to do is wiggle your toes nice and deep down into that sand~

Hugging tight to the cool, ancient column you feel such a reassuring stability as your digits stretch out, paws wriggling to secure into the moist soil as tail follows suit, so sturdily rooted now as your leaves bud along lengthening vines, eager to soak up the sun. You blush as you settle into against the ruins, feeling a perfect contentment, relaxation, as you surrender to a new position among the greenery~

You trespassed where you shouldn't have... an ancient grove guarded by a spirit of the wilderness. They give you an ultimatum; either you live there for the entire lifespan of a native plant before release, to repay your transgression... or you never leave this place alive. But they're benevolent, they'll let you pick your fate, and what you become. In your haste you glance around, your mind going blank so you point at the nearest tree! Something small, scraggly, surely as good a pick as any. ...
