(In honour of the IoDM Kickstarter going live, I'm sharing a sequence I did from 2018 based off of the original thylacine TF that Arania did for the project. You can check out the Kickstarter itself here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iodm/the-island-of-dr-moreau-ttrpg/)

Scientific Log: Day 14
Subject: [REDACTED]
Sex: Male
DOB: [REDACTED]
Approximate progress: 25%
Notes
Subject #27 was brought in approximately two weeks ago through. Subject was initially brought in by [REDACTED] involuntarily initially but has since agreed to the project. Injections given for Project Phoenix were applied on Day 4 of the subject's stay, and subject has responded far better than Subject#14 did to similar serum. Tail growth has been notably good, with development of the tailbone surpassing expectations. Subject has complained of neck pains and been given [REDACTED] to assist with intermittent aches.
Pending review of vitals and physical, subject will be given a second series of dosages on Day 42. Dr. [REDACTED] will have final sign-off on changes to the serum. Per funding agreement with [REDACTED], [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], once stakeholder approval is given, the experiment will proceed to phase 2 of the project.

Scientific Log: Day 53
Approximate progress: 50%
Notes
Subject #27 has reacted strongly to the second series of dosages given on Day 42. Dr. [REDACTED] has noted that the expected size changes have not, in fact, occurred as planned. Although leg structure is beginning to shift to a more digitigrade form, musculature has expanded instead of contracted. [REDACTED] has noted that the skin pattern is also growing in erratically, with no fur growth yet noted. Subject #27 has complained at length regarding the muzzle growth currently observed - [REDACTED] dosage has been increased proportionally but not has helped as much as hoped. Claw growth has proceeded as expected, and sensory sensitivity has increased well.
Despite the inconsistent progress, Subject #27 has by far exceeded expectations and surpassed the previous subjects in success. Stakeholders have reacted accordingly and [REDACTED]. In the interim, Dr. [REDACTED] shall do another evaluation on Day 72. Experiment has been green lit for the remaining duration of the project, and adjustments will be made to attempt to control for deviations.

Scientific Log: Day 89
Approximate progress: 75%
Notes
Subject #27 has continue to react positively to increased dosages administered on day 72, however problems continue to persist. Ear and muzzle development continue to be on track, as does tail development, and legs continue their shift - however, the size adjustments have not materialized. Dr. [REACTED] is concerned that this may not be correctable now that we are so far into the experiment - as such, work will focus on ensuring the subject transitions fully towards the target species, albeit likely in an anthropomorphized manner. Subject has reported that much of his discomfort has now focused within his legs, likely due to the conflicting dosages of [REDACTED] administered - increased dosage of [REDACTED] for the pain has proven to be inconsistent in addressing pain issues. [REDACTED] hopes that the final series of dosages will improve both the discomfort and lingering fur growth issues. Claw growth continues to remain on track.
Subject #27 has by far been the most successful specimen to date - [REDACTED] hopes that the program will utilize the success the team has gained on this subject and apply it to other extinct species. Stakeholders continue to approve of continued progress, and hope to at the very least ensure that the subject's continued success be celebrated. Dr. [REDACTED] shall conduct a final evaluation on Day 100.
---
Scientific Log: Day 115
Approximate progress: 100%
Notes
Subject #27 received the final dosage of [REDACTED] on Day 100, and changes have reached their culmination. Fur growth was finally achieved, thanks to Dr. [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] working tirelessly towards achieving a solution. Tail growth continued far beyond expectations and feet have reached their desired final form. The ear and muzzle growth exhibited by the subject also surpassed expectations, likely due to a the subject's unique genetic makeup predisposing to change and growth. Fur markings have come in well as well.
Subject #27 initially was slated to begin captivity observation trials upon completion of the experiment, but since feral structure was not achieved, study has now shifted towards examining the interaction of human and thylacine behaviours. It is likely that the successes gleaned from these trials will be utilized to further future experiments. In the mean time, breeding has been put on hold indefinitely, pending further discussion with Subject #27's desires moving forward. Stakeholders have greenlit further experiments focusing on the reintroduction of previously extinct species utilizing human subjects.
